Maximum award: program expenses. Eligibility: middle or high school science teachers entering their second or third year of teaching, working a schedule with 51 percent of their classes
in science. Deadline: July 1, 2013.

Amway's Who Cares Challenge: Youth Leadership Contest

Deadline: June 5

Amway will honor 10 youth changemakers in the United States and Canada. The contest is open to youth ages 13 - 22. Applicants will be narrowed down through public voting to a group of 100 entries. Charity partner Free The Children will then select 10 winners to receive $10,000 each to give to the nonprofit organization of their choice. Five grand prize winners from among those 10 will also receive a trip for themselves and a companion to Free The Children's next We Day youth empowerment event in Minnesota on October 8, 2013. http://bit.ly/14zbzSX

State Farm Youth Advisory Board Service-Learning Grants

If you are involved with an organization or school and have a great idea for a service-learning project to impact student achievement in YOUR community, apply for a State Farm Youth Advisory Board Service-Learning Grant. State Farm Good Neighbor Student Achievement Grants

Deadline: June 14

Are you looking for different ways to increase student engagement and motivation in your classroom? Increase academic achievement, workplace readiness, and stronger communities during the 2013-2014 school year with a $1,500 State Farm Good Neighbor Student Achievement Grant. The grant requires a 14+ week Semester of Service™ starting in Fall 2013. Educators from all fifty US states and D.C., and the Canadian provinces of Ontario, New Brunswick, and Alberta are invited to apply.
